Known as La Panza Manzanita. There are many species available, from shrubs to small trees, and ground covers. Foliage range from grays to dark greens. This plant attracts birds, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. It is a evergreen plant, with winter blooming urn shaped flowers, from red to pink or white. It has berries. Supplemental summer water not needed. Branching can turn red on older wood, and many varieties can be pruned and sculpted into specimen pieces.
